Lithgow City Bowling club held its annual Higgins Bowls Day on Tuesday, October 8.

Lady bowlers travelled from as far as Hazlebrook, Oberon and Portland to compete on the day.
The annual gala day has been sponsored by Higgins and Higgins Lawyers for more than 30 years.
First place winners went to Lithgow City's team of Cassie Mearns, Gloria Davidson and Marie Stewart.
Lithgow City again followed in second place with June Barnes, Anne Anderson and Pam Rivett. Ina Hunter, Leslie Wright and Sheila Jordan claimed third.

In fourth was Lithgow Workies' team of Cheryl Schram, Barbara Watters and Lesley Townsend.
The ladies celebrated with a lunch inside the bowling club, raffles and an afternoon of laughs.
Principal Ross Higgins said he was pleased to continue supporting the annual event.
"While ever you ladies turn up and want to play we will be here to support it.
"Congratulations to all the winners and I hope you all enjoyed the day," he said.
