Bulls went into the contest as favourites after they had overcome Wolves 76-67 in the major semi-final while Wolves were without star player Michael Cox for the grand final due to family reasons.
Wolves had won their way through to the decider with a tough 80-64 victory over Lakers in the final.
Bulls (Nathan Dick, Zeke Evans, Corey Honey, Joel O'Brien, Scott Simcoe and Elliot Smith) went out to an early first quarter lead but Wolves fought back to trail only 13-12.
Bulls pulled away in the second period as crisp passing and strong rebounding, combined with poor shooting from Wolves, saw them go to the main break up 29-21.
The third stanza continued the trend, with Wolves (Dylan Anlezark, Hayden Cox, Blake Holmes, Kade Inwood, Eric Joyce and Austyn Lincoln) struggling to match their opponents' teamwork, and Bulls went into the final quarter in command at 46-33.
The fourth period saw Bulls appear to stray from their game plan, with rushed shots and numerous turnovers creeping in. Meanwhile, Wolves found their range, launching a point-scoring barrage to drop six three-pointers to one on the way to a 30-14 quarter that allowed them to go past the Bulls and snatch a 63-60 win.
The game was well refereed by Paul Fenton and Krysten Hutchinson.
The Association wishes a special thank you to Paul Fenton who made himself available to referee both games most weeks throughout the season.
The Association also sends their condolences to Michael Cox and his family after the passing of both of his grandfathers in the last few weeks.
The next men's competition is set down to commence in February next year. Interested players should check the Lithgow Basketball Development Facebook page or contact John Cox on 0437 307 569.
