Callie Capomolla, Geordie Goodwin, Evan Brown and Ryan Bird were selected as the four school captains and received their blazers and badges at the assembly.
Ryan Bird said that in his role as school captain he would like to help continue to improve the school.
"I hope to be a role model to our younger students," he said.
Evan Brown said that he remembered looking up to previous captains and hoped that the younger students would do the same to him.
"Our previous captains have done such a good job that I want to do a good job to pay it back to them and the work they've done," he said.
"And you know the blazers look good too."
Both young women said they wanted to gain more leadership skills during their time as school captains.
"Personally I want better confidence in leading," Callie said.
Ryan said that he would also like to create a better environment for younger students as they transition into senior students.
"I would like to thank the staff for pushing us to do this and to have the opportunity to become a better leader," Geordie said.

Lithgow High School principal Ann Caro said she was proud of the students who were selected.
"I know they will do a great job because they are an outstanding group of students," she said.
Ms Caro said every year they went through a rigorous process to find the captains, which were elected by students and staff.
"They are all outstanding young people who will be exceptional, as was our last group, they are very impressive young people," she said.
The school's house captains, Student Representative Council (SRC), peer mediators and peer support leaders were also inducted into their roles for the year.
