Lithgow golfers captured another major championship when Carlos Garibotto took out the inaugural Blue Mountains Veterans title.

The Veterans competition which is played at the different courses on the Mountains is for golfers over 55 years of age throughout the Mountains with points awarded monthly for each time you play and where you finish in the field.
Garibotto was a clear winner and picked up a sizeable check.
The presentation was made at the final event of the year with over 40 golfers contesting a two person ambrose at the Leura golf course.

Lithgow's John Bird and Rob Ritchie were among the prize winners picking up the runner up prize with a 65 off the stick.
Following the ambrose Vets were treated to a tasty luncheon where the awards were made.
It has been a good year for Lithgow vets who are regular among the winning lists and all are now looking towards carrying on their form in 2020.
